Midsummer Night's Dream, A (1962)

Balanchine’s first wholly original full-length ballet. Act I releates the story of Shakespeare’s play. Act II is a wedding divertissement, concluding with a brief return to the enchanted forest, and Shakespeare’s ending. A film of the enitre work, produced by Oberon Productions, Ltd., was released in 1967.
