Founder of Ballet Pacifica, Laguna Beach, CA
Had her own school “Lila Zali Ballet Center” of Laguna Beach since the 1950’s.
Originally started “Laguna Beach Civic Ballet” which later became “Ballet Pacifica” a semi-professional company.
Handed the reins of the company (Ballet Pacifica) to Molly Lynch, a former student, in 1988.
Lila choreographed numerous ballets for her company: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “Sleeping Beauty”(Tchaikovsky), “The Enchanted Toyshop”, “Sunday in Vienna”, “Cinderella” (Prokofiev), “Peter & the Wolf”, “Moods of Ancient Russia” (Arensky), “Dreams” (Bartok)and many, many more…..
